Students must also complete the 7-course breadth requirement from the Haas School of Business, as well as the Reading and Composition requirement (R1A and R1B) in order to apply for admission into the Haas School of Business.

Students must complete 1 upper division Chemical Engineering elective course, 1 Upper division Engineering course, 1 Science elective course from the list of Physical and Biological Science Electives, and 8-9 units (~ 3 classes) of Upper Division UGBA (Undergraduate Business Administration) electives.

How to Declare

Students should declare Chemical Biology in the College of Chemistry as soon as possible. Then, once the required courses for admission into the Haas School of Business have been completed, students will apply to the Haas School of Business the spring semester prior to their anticipated start in the school. Unfortunately, because the Chemical Engineering + Business simultaneous degree is relatively new, there is no current data on the career trajectories of those who obtain the degree.
